Exploring the ideas, stories, and connections that carry us forward.

Formerly TEDxMechanicsville, our event has grown from a neighbourhood-rooted platform into a citywide gathering for bold ideas, meaningful conversations, and the people shaping what comes next. With our new name, TEDxOttawa, we are proud to reflect the broader community we serve—a city defined by creativity, complexity, innovation, and connection.

Run entirely by volunteers, TEDxOttawa is dedicated to showcasing extraordinary individuals and ideas worth spreading. We are committed to amplifying diverse voices, sparking dialogue, and creating space for reflection, curiosity, and action.

Join us as we celebrate the continuum of ideas—where we’ve been, where we are, & where were going.

Welcome to TEDxOttawa

The 2026 Call for Ideas is OPEN!

You’ve talked to your friends. You’ve talked to your pets.

You’ve talked to the mirror. It’s time to talk to Ottawa.

This year’s theme, Continuum, explores the threads that connect past, present, and future.

It is about movement and momentum—the ideas that evolve over time, the stories that bridge generations, and the questions that push us to imagine what comes next.
